An Early Commander’s Breast Star, 73 mm, Military Division, with chiselled rays, white enameled centre medallion with golden sprays of rose and thistle and three crowns within red enamelled outer circlet with the Order’s motto, the whole, placed on an outer circlet in gold with a green enamelled laurel wreath; below, a dark-blue enameled scroll with the motto “ICH DIEN”; smooth, polished reverse and broad, flat pin; no maker’s mark.
A very interesting and rare piece, almost pristine condition. I R!
