★ A very rare tetartemorion from Athens with retrograde ethnic ★

ATTICA. Athens. Circa 400/390-353 BC. Tetartemorion (Silver, 6 mm, 0.15 g, 11 h). Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Attic helmet decorated with three olive leaves and palmette. Rev. AΘE (sic!) Crescent; all within incuse square. Kroll -. Svoronos pl. 17, 53-56 var. (ethnic not retrograde). Very rare and beautifully toned. An interesting example with retrograde ethnic. Very fine.
