Anonymous, circa 12th-15th century. Amulet (Lead, 18x23 mm, 3.13 g, 12 h). IC-XC Half-length bust of Christ facing, raising his right hand in benediction and holding a book of Gospels in his left; below, cross. Rev. A-ω / IC - XC / NI-KA Large cross on base. An attractively designed late Byzantine piece of artwork with beautiful earthen highlights. Holed for suspension and with a thin flan crack, otherwise, good very fine.
