IONIA. Uncertain. Circa 550-525 BC. Hekte (Electrum, 10 mm, 2.35 g), Lydo-Milesian standard. Forepart of a bridled horse to left. Rev. Square incuse punch with several dots. Fischer-Bossert, Horses, Series 1, 11 ( same obverse die ) and 12 corr. ( same reverse die, but not Obv. H8). Rosen -. Weber 5718 = Weidauer 141 ( same obverse die ). Very rare. A beautiful example with a particularly lovely horse. About extremely fine.
