★ An attractive chalkous from Kranaos ★
CARIA. Kranaos. Circa 300-280 BC. Chalkous (Bronze, 11 mm, 1.51 g, 6 h). Radiate and draped bust of Helios facing slightly to right. Rev. KPAN Grape bunch on vine; below, crayfish. Klein 535. SNG Keckman 219. An attractive example with a lovely dark patina. Light pitting, otherwise, good very fine.
