ISLANDS OFF TROAS, Tenedos. Late 5th-early 4th century BC. Drachm (Silver, 16 mm, 3.51 g, 12 h). Janiform head of Zeus, laureate and bearded, to right, and Hera, diademed, to left. Rev. TENE-ΔI-ON Large labrys; to left, grape; to right, tripod; all within incuse square. HGC 6, 386. SNG Copenhagen 516. A beautiful, bright and attractive piece of splendid style. Light cleaning scratches, otherwise, extremely fine.
