ISLAMIC, Persia (Pre-Seljuq). Samanids. 'Abd al-Malik I ibn Nuh, AH 343-350 / AD 954-961. Dinar (Gold, 23 mm, 3.26 g, 6 h), Nishapur, AH 344 = AD 955/6. Album 1460. An attractive example of this interesting issue. Good very fine.

This unusual type, which omits the name of the Abbasid caliph, was only struck in AH 344.
