★ An unusually well preserved tetradrachm of Vologases IV ★

KINGS OF PARTHIA. Vologases IV, circa 147-191. Tetradrachm (Billon, 26 mm, 9.27 g, 12 h), Seleukeia on the Tigris, Dios SE 484 = October 172. Diademed and draped bust of Vologases IV to left, wearing tiara; to right, B. Rev. Vologases IV seated left, receiving wreath from Tyche standing right; above, ΔΠΥ; below, ΔΙΟΥ. Sellwood 84.46. Shore 429. Sunrise -. Nicely toned and unusually well preserved. Minor roughness and with some light scratches, otherwise, good very fine.
