Dinar (Gold, 18 mm, 4.24 g, 4 h), citing the caliph al-Ma'mun as al-Imam and 'li'l Khalifa' ('for the caliph' in Kufic), uncertain mint (Misr?), AH 196 = AD 811/2. Bernardi 81. Rare. A few minor scrapes and with minor traces of mounting, otherwise, extremely fine.
