GEORGIA. Kingdom. Davit Narin, 1246-1269/70. AE (Bronze, 25 mm, 3.47 g, 5 h), Struck under Mongol rule for King Davit Narin, Tiflis, 465 (Georgian years, counted using the Paschal cycle) = AH 1227. Monogram of Davit in center consisting of the letters D and T in ligature; around, 'King Davit, servant of the Khan, the ruler of the world' in Persian). Rev. 'The city of Tiflis, may God prosper it! Two, forty, six-hundred' in Arabic. Bennett 242. Very rare. Slightly rough, otherwise, very fine.

Coins of Davit Narin struck in Tiflis are considerably rarer than those struck in Dmanisi.
