MACEDON, Chalkidian League. Circa 425-390 BC. Obol (Silver, 7 mm, 0.28 g), reduced standard, Olynthos. Laureate head of Apollo to left. Rev. Quadripartite incuse square; in each quarter, saltire cross surrounded by four pellets. HGC 3.1 -. SNG ANS 1007 var. (no pellets, 'uncertain Thraco-Macedonian'). SNG Oxford 2405. Nicely toned. Slightly granular and with minor weakness on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
