EPEIROS. Ambrakia. Circa 456-426 BC. Stater (Silver, 21 mm, 8.40 g, 5 h). A Pegasos flying left; below, serpent coiled around tortoise. Rev. Head of Athena to left, wearing Corinthian helmet; above, bull butting left; to upper left, [A] (?). Calciati 4. Ravel 12. Very rare and of wonderful early Classical style. Slightly brushed, otherwise, very fine.
