MZDYSN BGY L'MŠTLY YZDKLTY MLKAn MLKA ('Worshipper of Lord Mazda, 'God' and Delight of the Empire, Yazdgard, King of Kings' in Pahlawi) Draped bust of Yazdgard I to right, wearing elaborate crown with korymbos and crescent on forehead. Rev. YZDKLTY ('Yazdgard' in Pahlawi) Fire altar with ribbons, flanked by two attendants. SNS III, pl. 56, 86. Beautifully toned. Struck from somewhat worn dies, otherwise, extremely fine.
