SELEUKID KINGS OF SYRIA. Antiochos I Soter, 281-261 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 28 mm, 17.14 g, 9 h), Seleukeia on the Tigris. Diademed head of Antiochos I to right. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ - ANTIOXOY Apollo seated left on omphalos, holding arrow in his right hand and resting his left on grounded bow; to left and right, monograms. SC 379.6a. Beautifully toned and with a particularly expressive portrait. Light doubling on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.
