LUCANIA. Velia. Circa 280 BC. Nomos (Silver, 20 mm, 7.26 g, 10 h). Head of Athena to left, wearing crested Athenian helmet decorated with a griffin on the bowl; behind, IE incuse square; A before crest; [Φ] before neck. Rev. YEΛHTΩN Lion attacking stag left. SNG ANS 1400 ( same obverse die ). Williams 568 (O283/R397). Beautifully toned. Light die breaks , otherwise, good very fine.
