C. Licinius L.f. Macer, 84 BC. Denarius (Silver, 18 mm, 4.00 g, 7 h), Rome. Bust of Apollo to left, seen from behind, holding thunderbolt in his right hand. Rev. [C•L]ICINI[VS•L•F / MACER] Minerva in fast quadriga to right, holding spear in her right hand and shield and reins in her left. Babelon (Licinia) 16. Crawford 354/1. RBW 1355. Sydenham 73. The reverse struck somewhat off center, otherwise, about extremely fine.
