M. Plaetorius M.f. Cestianus, 57 BC. Denarius (Silver, 19 mm, 3.90 g, 12 h), Rome. Draped female bust to right, her hair decorated with poppy-heads; behind, cricket. Rev. M PLAETORI - CEST•EX•S•C Winged caduceus. Babelon (Plaetoria) 6. Crawford 405/3b. RBW 1450 var. (differing control symbol). Sydenham 805. The reverse struck somewhat off center, otherwise, very fine.
