LUCANIA. Metapontion. Circa 400-340 BC. Didrachm or Nomos (Silver, 20 mm, 7.54 g, 4 h). Head of Demeter to right, her hair bound in sphendone. Rev. METAΠΟΝ Barley ear with leaf to right; above leaf, laurel leaf. HN Italy 1544. Noe 494. Harshly cleaned and retoned, otherwise, good very fine.
