★ A lightly toned late Classical stater from Abdera ★

THRACE. Abdera. Circa 375/3-365/0 BC. Stater (Silver, 22 mm, 13.06 g, 9 h), Exekrates, magistrate. Griffin rearing up to left. Rev. ΕΧΕ-ΚΡ-ΑΤ-ΗΣ Female head to left, wearing sphendone; all within linear frame within incuse square. HGC 3.2, 1191. May, Abdera, 317 (A231/P270). Lightly toned. Minor die rust on the obverse, otherwise, very fine.
