KINGS OF PERSIS. Autophradates (Vadfradad) I, early 2nd century BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 30 mm, 16.52 g, 1 h), Istakhr (Persepolis). Head of Vadfradad I with luxuriant moustache to right, wearing kyrbasia or satrapal hat and earring. Rev. Fire-temple of Ahura-Mazda; above, half-figure of Ahura-Mazda to left; to left, King standing right, his hands raised in adoration; to right, standard; between King and altar, bow. Alram 533. Sunrise 568 var. (no bow). Van't Haaff 533/535/538g ( this coin ). Traces of overstriking and with cleaning scratches on the obverse, otherwise, very fine.
