Description

Licinius I, 308-324. Follis (Bronze, 19 mm, 2.76 g, 12 h), Rome, circa 320. IMP LI-CINIVS AVG Helmeted and cuirassed bust of Licinius I to right. Rev. VOT / XX / R S in three lines within wreath. RIC -. Extremely rare. Light deposits, otherwise, good very fine.

From the collection of Dr. L. Ramskold, formed since 1969.

This extremely rare coin is one of only three examples known for Licinius I with this reverse. One is from officina P, and two are from officina S, including this one.
