Description

MYSIA. Cyzicus. Pseudo-autonomous issue. Hemiassarion (Bronze, 18 mm, 3.84 g, 6 h), time of Hadrian, 117-138. Draped bust of Kore Soteira to right, wearing wreath of grains, within laurel wreath. Rev. ΚΥΖΙΚΗ-ΝΩΝ Triton to right, holding rudder in his right hand and fish in his left. RPC III online 1532.2 ( this coin ). SNG Paris 602. Extremely rare, apparently the second known example. Somewhat corroded, otherwise, fine.
