★ A very rare cistophorus from Aezani ★

Hadrian, 117-138. Cistophorus (Silver, 26 mm, 9.24 g, 6 h), Aezani. HADRIANVS AVGVSTVS P P Bare-headed and draped bust of Hadrian to right, seen from behind. Rev. COS III Jupiter standing front, head to left, holding eagle with open wings and head right in his right hand and long scepter in his left. Metcalf 49. RPC III online 1390.9 ( this coin ). Very rare. Harshly cleaned and hence somewhat rough, otherwise, very fine.
