★ A fresh and well struck denarius of Q. Cassius Longinus ★

Q. Cassius Longinus, 55 BC. Denarius (Silver, 18 mm, 3.71 g, 3 h), Rome. Q•CASSIVS LIBERT Head of Libertas to right. Rev. Curule chair within hexastyle Temple of Vesta with conical roof surmounted by statue; in field to left, urn; in field to right, voting tablet inscribed AC (absolvo condemno). Babelon (Cassia) 8. Crawford 428/2. RBW 1534. Sydenham 918. Fresh and very well struck, with a lovely obverse. The reverse struck off center, otherwise, extremely fine.
