MYSIA. Pergamon. Circa 166-67 BC. Cistophorus (Silver, 25 mm, 11.62 g, 1 h), circa 160-150. Cista mystica from which snake coils; around, ivy wreath with fruits. Rev. Two snakes coiled around a bow case; to left, monogram of ΠΕΡΓ; to right, bunch of grapes. Kleiner & Noe Series 13. SNG Copenhagen -. SNG Paris -. SNG von Aulock -. Very rare, a single example recorded by Kleiner & Noe. Harshly cleaned and with some delamination on the obverse, otherwise, good very fine.
