Fals (Bronze, 28 mm, 2.85 g), Khujanda, AH 390 = 999/1000. ‘lā ilāha illā / Allāh waḥdahū / lā sharīka lahū’ (‘There is no deity but Allah, the One, there is no partner to Him’ in Arabic); inner margin, ‘bism Allāh ḍuriba hādhā al-fals bi Khujanda sana tisʿīn wa thalātha miʾa’ (‘In the name of Allah. This fals was struck in Khujanda in the year 390’ in Arabic); outer margin, citing Ahmad ibn Ali as Nasir al-Haqq Abu Nasr Qarakhaqan, ‘mimmā amara bihī al-jalil al-ʿādil Nāṣir al-Ḥaqq Abū Naṣr Qarākhāqān’ (‘From that ordered by the glorious and just Nasir al-Haqq Abu Nasr Qarakhaqan’ in Arabic). Rev. Citing the ruler as Muʾayyid al-ʿAdl and Ilek, ‘li-llāh / Muḥammad / rasūl Allāh / Muʾayyid al-ʿAdl / Īlik’ (‘To Allah. Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. Muʾayyid al-ʿAdl, Ilek’ in Arabic); in the margin, ‘mimmā amara bihī al-amīr al-ajall Naṣr ibn ʿAlī mawlā amīr al-muʾminīn’ (‘From that ordered by the most glorious amir Nasr ibn Ali, vassal of the Commander of the Believers’ in Arabic).
