Description

PHILISTIA (PALESTINE). Uncertain mint. Mid 5th century-333 BC. Drachm (Silver, 13 mm, 3.27 g, 9 h). Bearded male head to left. Rev. Paradise flower with two birds within volutes; below, dolphin to right; all within incuse square. Gitler & Tal XVII.1D; HGC 10, 604. Rare and beautifully toned. Somewhat rough, otherwise, very fine.
