LUCANIA. Metapontion. Circa 470-440 BC. Stater (Silver, 20 mm, 8.09 g, 12 h). META Ear of barley with six grains; around, border of dots within two concentric linear circles. Rev. Ear of barley with six grains, all incuse; rayed border. HN Italy 1484. Noe Class IX, 237 ( same dies ). A fresh and attractive piece. Tiny scuff on the obverse and the obverse struck slightly off center, otherwise, extremely fine.
