Maximus, Caesar, 235/6-238. Sestertius (Orichalcum, 30 mm, 21.08 g, 12 h), Rome, 235-236. C IVL VERVS MAXIMVS CAES Bare-headed and draped bust of Maximus to right, seen from behind. Rev. PIETAS AVG / S C Lituus, knife, patera, jug, simpulum and aspergillum. BMC 119. Cohen 5. RIC 6. A lovely example with a beautiful brown patina. Very fine.
