Drachm (Silver, 29 mm, 3.65 g, 3 h), Arab-Sasanian type, citing governor ʿAbd Allah [ibn ʿAmir] (circa AH 41-45 = 661-664), DA (Darabgird), AH 43 = AH 663/4. Draped bust resembling Khosrau II to right, wearing an elaborate mural crown; behind head, ‘GDE ʾp̄zwt'’ (‘[may his] glory increase’ in Pahlavi); before head, ‘ʾp̄dwlʾ’ (‘ʿAbd Allah’ in Pahlavi); in outer margin, ‘bism Allāh’ (‘In the name of Allah’ in Kufic). Rev. Fire altar with ribbons, flanked by two attendants; above altar, star and crescent; to left, date in Pahlavi; to right, DA (abbreviation for the name of the mint in Pahlavi). Album 7. Rare.
