LOWER DANUBE. Geto-Dacians. 1st century BC. 'Denarius' (Silver, 18 mm, 3.30 g, 12 h), possibly imitating a Roman Republican denarius of P. Accoleius Lariscolus (43 BC). Helmeted head to right; before, pseudo-legend. Rev. Three female figures standing front, head to right, holding branch in their left hands; in exergue, pseudo-legend. Cf. Crawford 486/1 (for possible prototype). Lightly toned and of charmingly crude style. Very fine.
