CELTIC, Northwest Gaul. Carnutes. 2nd to early 1st century BC. Stater (Electrum, 20 mm, 7.34 g, 8 h), 'au profil luniforme et à la joue lisse' type. Celticized male head to right, with curly hair and prominent nose. Rev. Celticized charioteer driving biga to right, holding reins in his right hand; below, lyre. DT 2530. LT 5951. SLM -. Rare. A lovely and unusually clear piece. Die break on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
