KINGS OF SOPHENE. Mithradates I, circa 2nd half of 2nd century BC. Hemichalkon (Bronze, 11 mm, 0.60 g, 1 h). Diademed and draped bust of Mithradates I to left, wearing bashlyk tied with a diadem. Rev. Lion standing left. Kovacs 28 ( same dies ). Of the highest rarity, arguably the finest of just four known examples. Minor deposits on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.
