★ An interesting contemporary plated imitation ★
IONIA. Phokaia. Circa 521-478 BC. Hekte (Subaeratus, 9 mm, 2.03 g), a contemporary plated imitation. Head of a ram to left; below, seal to left. Rev. Quadripartite incuse square. Cf. Bodenstedt 37 (for prototype). Minor breaks in plating, otherwise, very fine.
