Gallienus, 253-268. Antoninianus (Silver, 24 mm, 4.10 g, 7 h), Rome, 255-256. IMP C P LIC GALLIENVS P F AVG Radiate and cuirassed bust of Gallienus to right. Rev. PROVIDENTIA AVGG Providentia standing front, head to left, holding baton over globe in her right hand and cornucopiae in her left. Cohen -. MIR 101q. RIC 159. Beautifully toned. Struck from a somewhat worn reverse die, otherwise, good very fine.

From an old Swiss collection, formed in the 1970s, and from the collection of Dr. F. Sternberg, Sternberg I, 30 November-1 December 1973, 508 (part of), (with original ticket).
