Septimius Severus, 193-211. Denarius (Silver, 19 mm, 2.84 g, 12 h), Rome, 202-210. SEVERVS PIVS AVG Laureate head of Septimius Severus to right. Rev. AFRICA Africa reclining to left on pile of rocks, wearing elephant skin headdress, holding scorpion in her right hand and cornucopiae in her left; before her, modius with grain ears. BMC 311. Cohen 31. RIC 254. Flan crack, otherwise, very fine.
