Roman Republic - M. Sergius Silus silver denarius (3,93 g. 18 mm.) minted in Rome in 116-115 B.C.

ROMA-EX • S • C, head of Roma right, wearing winged helmet decorated with griffin crest, XVI (mark of value) in monogram behind.

M • SERGI/SILVS, M. Sergius Silus (Pr. 197 BC) galloping left, shield on right arm, sword and severed head in left hand; Q in left field.

Near Extremely fine condition in high grade. Nice centered. Amazing toning.
