Roman Empire - Tetricus I, usurper in Gaul, (270-274 A.D.) Bronze antoninianus, uncertain local mint (1,67 g. 14 mm.).
Radiate bust of Tetricus I to right.
Excellent example with a very peculiar barbaric style. On the reverse there is an altar like those reflected in the posthumous antoninianus of Emperor Claudius II, with its corresponding legend, CONSECRATIO.
The obverse presents a very rough style of the usurping emperor Tetricus I.
