Roman Empire - Couple of Bronze Maiorinas

1.- Constantius II (337-361 AD.)
Bronze Maiorina (4,72 g. 25 mm.) - Lugdunum mint, AD 348-350

D N CONSTANTIVS P F AVG, pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust to right

FEL TEMP REPARATIO, Emperor in military dress, holding Phoenix and standard with Chi-Rho on banner, standing in prow of galley sailing to left being steered by Victory seated at stern;

PLG in exergue. RIC VIII 69; LRBC 183

gVF. Attractive dark green original patina, nice style.

2.- Constans (337-350 A.D.) bronze half maiorina (4,83 g., 24 mm.). from Arles mint, 348-350 A.D.

DN CONSTANS PF AVG, pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust right /

FEL TEMP REPARATIO, emperor on galley to left holding ave phonix on globe and standard with Chi-Rho banner; in the stern sits Victory steering the ship. SARL in exergue.
