Probus (276-282) Antoninian, Ticinum Obverse: IMP C PROBVS AVG
Radiate bust left in consular robe, holding eagle-tipped sceptre (scipio).
Reverse: PAX AVGVSTI / T / VXXI Pax standing left, holding scepter and olive branch. Bilon, diameter 23,9 x 22,6 mm, weight 3,43 g. THIS COIN IS PART OF THE CODED EQVITI SERIES (see the letter 'T' in left field which is the 5th lettter in the 6-letter EQVITI phrase. This coin was struck by the 5th officina, i.e. officina 'V'; there were 6 officinae at Ticinum mint at that time; each one struck a different reverse with a different letter from the EQVITI code).
