Annam, Khài Dinh (1916-1925). 20 tiên en Or (2 lang ou 2 onces) ND (1916-1925).
Av. Autour d’une perle enflammée, large dragon, la tête en bas et la queue enroulée en soleil rayonnant en haut ; à droite : Khài Dinh thông bao « Monnaie courante de Khài Dinh » et à gauche : Van thê vinh lai « Toutes les générations en recueilleront le fruit à jamais » ; à gauche et à droite, les nuages.
Rv. En caractères chinois, un quatrain “La pierre précieuse khuyet et le cinabre en mille ans se transmuent en or très pur transmissible à dix mille générations. Ainsi on reconnaît le mérite et on met en relief les hommes vertueux, car la sagesse seule est précieuse”.

Avec trous de suspension à 12 et 6 h (ce dernier avec un anneau forgé). De module (poids de 2 onces d’or) et type exceptionnels, avec le dragon descendant au droit. Le plus grand module pour Thanh Thai est d’une once (Schroeder 431, à trou carré). Cet exemplaire, destiné au Roi ou à un haut dignitaire, a été porté (l’anneau est en bas..) et montre un aspect légèrement nettoyé. De la plus grande rareté, sans doute unique ! TTB.

Obv. Surrounding a flaming pearl, a large dragon, head down and tail curled in a radiant sun on top ; on the right: Khài Dinh thông bao “Current currency of Khài Dinh” and on the left: Van thê vinh lai “Every generation will reap its fruit forever”; to the left and right, clouds.
Rev. In Chinese characters (Hanzi), a quatrain “The precious stone khuyet and cinnabar in a thousand years are changed into very pure gold transmissible to ten thousand generations. That way, we recognize merit and we highlight virtuous men, because only wisdom is precious.”

With suspension holes at 12 and 6 o'clock (a forged ring attached to the 6 o’clock hole). Exceptional module, weighting 2 gold ounces, and type, with the dragon descending on the obverse. The largest module for Thanh Thai is only one ounce (Schroeder 431, with a square hole). This example, intended for the King or a high dignitary, has been worn (the ring is at the bottom) and has a slightly cleaned appearance. Very rare, probably unique ! Extremely fine.
