Pair awarded to Corporal Thomas Lewis, 6th Dragoon Guards, comprising: Indian Mutiny, 1857-58, single clasp, Delhi (Thos Lewis, 6th Dragn Gds); Army Long Service and Good Conduct, V.R., swivel-type suspension (1794 Corpl Thos Lewis 6th Dragoon Guards.); Pair loose, a few light marks, minor edge bumps to second, very fine (2). Corporal Thomas Lewis is confirmed on the Indian Mutiny Medal Roll as having taken part in fighting at Delhi, where he was slightly wounded on 13 September 1857. He later received the Army Long Service and Good Conduct Medal at the rank of Corporal. The roll also states ‘Ex 10th Hussars, No. 1264’.
