Charles I, Tower mint, a shilling of fine workmanship, group E, m.m. crown over bell on obverse, crown on reverse, fourth bust type 2, rev., oval garnished shield, 5.89g (type as Brooker 492; cf Brooker 467 and 471 for comparable pieces of fine work; N. 2223), probably machine-struck, later bent into an ‘S’ shape and consequently with uneven wear, about very fine, interesting and rare.
