AR Crown (44.5mm, 30.00 g, 4h). Group III, type 3a. London mint; im: bell. Struck 1634-1635. Charles on horse left, holding raised sword and reins / Coat-of-arms. Cooper, Silver dies XV/XX (this coin cited and illustrated); Brooker 256 (same dies); North 2195; SCBC 2758 (this coin illustrated).
In a state of preservation perhaps unmatched by any other Tower crown for this reign, with
exceptional detail to the king and horse. Considerable iridescent lustre
under rich blue toning. Superb EF. Extremely rare thus.
