Billon trachy, Magnesia 1221-1254, billon 2.65 g. [OεMML] – N/_H [L]. Bust of Christ Emmanuel facing, with decorated nimbus, wearing tunic and colobion and holding scroll; in field [IC] – X[C]. Rev. Iw / D … John on l. wearing, loros and holding sword, and St. Theodore on r. in military attire and holding sword; both holding patriarchal cross set on there steps between them. DO 23. Sear 2077.
Extremely rare and in very good condition for the issue. Traces of double
striking on obverse, otherwise about extremely fine
