Trachy, Thessalonica circa 1237-1242 AD, Æ 17 mm, .89 g. Head of cherub with four wings around. Rev. Iω ΔЄC O AΓIOC Δ Full-length figures of emperor and St. Demetrius, beardless, holding sheathed sword; Emperor, wearing divitision, loros, maniakion, and stemma with pendilia, r. hand holding akakia; St. Demetrius, nimbate, wearing body armour with pteryges, chiton, and sagion, l. hand above shoulder holding spear upright.
