Trachy, Magnesia circa 1222-1254 AD, Æ 25 mm, 1.39 g. IC XC Half-length figure of Christ, cruciformly nimbate with five pellets per each cross arm, beardless, wearing tunic and kolobion, r. hand in benediction and l. holding Gospels. Rev. Iω ΔЄCΠOTHC O TPΦωΔ8K Full-length figure of emperor and St. Tryphon, holding lily-tipped-sceptre; Emperor, bearded, wearing divitision, loros, sagion, and stemma with pendilia, r. hand holding labarum; St. Tryphon wearing body armour with pteryges, chiton, and Sagion, l. hand holding trilobate sceptre.
