Four volumes uniformly bound in maroon quarter morocco and marbled boards, the original printed wrappers preserved. Raised bands, the spines lettered direct in gilt. Worn and rubbed at the extremities, particularly to the boards and joints, the spines worn, especially to the first volume. The inner hinges weak throughout with some pages loose, the contents lightly thumbed but clean. Fascicule 1 of the main text limited to 100 copies, fascicules 2–9 limited to 300 copies and fascicule 10 limited to 250 copies. All signed by Cagiati on the limitation pages with the exception of fascicule 10, signed by Eugenia Majorana. Many with a manuscript dedication on the upper cover from Cagiati to Luigi Caro and stamped by the author either on the upper wrapper or limitation page. The third title (Atlante-prezzario), limited to 100 copies and signed and stamped on the limitation page also. Almost a very good set of this most important standard reference. Essential for the series and very seldom offered complete. This set with an attractive provenance and rare thus. (4)
