The Ptolemies, Ptolemy I Soter. As satrap, 323-305/4 BC, or king, 305/4-282 BC Alexandria Tetradrachm in name of Alexander III circa 306-300, AR 28.00 mm., 12.47 g.
Diademed head of the deified Alexander r., wearing elephant skin, aegis around neck. Rev. Athena Alkidemos advancing r., brandishing spear and wearing shield on extended l. arm; monogram to inner l.; to r., two monograms and eagle standing r. on thunderbolt. CPE 59. Svoronos 146.
