Description

Sicily, Lilybaion (as 'Cape of Melkart Tetradrachm circa 330-305, AR 26.2mm., 16.74g. Charioteer, holding kentron in extended right hand and reins in left, driving fast quadriga right; above, Nike flying l., crowning charioteer with open wreath held in both hands; in exergue, RŠMLQRT ("Raš Melqart" in Punic). Rev. Head of Arethousa right, wearing wreath of grain ears, triple-pendant earring, and pearl necklace; four dolphins swimming around. Jenkins, Punic 44. Weber 1296 (same dies).

Nicely toned, well centred and Very Fine.
